The Cartuxa winery is owned by the Eugenio De Almeida Foundation. A privately-funded charity founded in 1963. Cartuxa gets its name from the Cartuxa Monastry, where the Carthusian Monks lived in silence and prayer since 1598.
Cartuxa Red 2020 is a classic red from the Alentejo region. Produced from Aragonnez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet. The wine matures in French Oak Barrels and oak vats for 12 months.
